Worthy Is the Lamb

The book of Revelation is often a confusing book, filled with rich imagery and reflecting poignant pictures from the rest of the Bible. However, if any message shines through the difficulties of John’s Revelation, it is the victory of Jesus, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin for the world.

Such a clear picture of the victory of the Lamb appears at the end of each of the seven sections of Revelation’s message on the difficulties of Christ’s church on earth. These pictures of the victory of the Lamb reminds us to join with the saint and angels in heaven in singing the great song of the church, “Worthy is the Lamb that was slain.”

In these Sundays after Easter, we will be looking at several of these pictures of Jesus’ victory under the theme, “Worthy is the Lamb.”
